GOK #5:  Fish Molly
One of the favorite seafood dish of Kerala. This recipe is a perfect combination for palappam or pathiri or bread.
 
FOR MARINATION
 Fish - 1/2 kg
 Chilly pwd - 1/4-1/2 tsp
 Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
 Salt - to taste.
 
1. Marinate fish with all the above ingredients for 15-30 min & fry it till it turns golden brown in colour.
 
TO SAUTE
 Onion - 2 big
 Garlic - 3 (chopped)
 Ginger - a small piece
 Green chillies - 4
 Tomato - 2 medium
 Curry leaves - few
 Thick coconut milk - 1 1/2 cups
 Second coconut milk -2 cups
 Pepper pwd - 1/4-1/2 tsp
 Garam masala pwd - 1/4 tsp
 Lemon juice - 1 tsp
 Coriander leaves - few
 Cinnamon - 1 piece
 Cardamom - 2
 Oil 
 Salt
 
1. Heat a pan, pour oil,add all whole spices & saute for a while.
 
2. Add onion,curry leaves,garlic,ginger,green chillies & saute it till the onion becomes transparent.
 
3.To this add tomatoes.When the tomatoes becomes soft add2nd coconut milk.Allow it to boil.When it starts boiling add fried fish pieces.
 
4. Let it boil for few min.To this add thick coconut milk.When it starts boiling remove from fire & add pepper pwd,garam masala pwd,lemon juice.Mix it well.
 
5. Garnish it with coriander leaves & serve it hot with palappam, pathiri or bread.
