Diwali or Deepavali also called as Festival of Lights is the most popular Hindu festival in India. Diwali festival marks the triumph of good over evil, the victory of knowledge over ignorance and dispelling the darkness from our lives in order to illuminate the soul and enlighten the mind. Diwali is a time for celebration, pujas, gifting and spreading joy and cheer.

Diwali is a five-day long festival & each day has its own significance. As per Hindu calendar, Diwali falls on a Amavaasya (moonless night), the 15th day of the dark fortnight of the Hindu month of Ashwin (Aasho), which is usually the month of October or November every year. This Year, Diwali falls on Tuesday, 13th November, 2012.
